Hatem Azim, MD/PhD

Dr. Hatem Azim, MD, PhD, is the Chief Medical Officer of Traverse Biotech, bringing 20+ years of experience in oncology clinical development and academic research.

Prior to Traverse, he held senior drug-development and medical leadership roles across industry and academia, including positions such as Chief Medical Officer at Emergence Therapeutics and broader work spanning early- to late-stage oncology programs.

Dr. Azim received his medical degree from Cairo University, a Master’s in Oncology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and a PhD from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
