William Polvino, MD

Dr. William Polvino is the Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Traverse Biotech, bringing 25+ years of leadership experience across biotech and pharma.

Prior to Traverse, he served as CEO of Bridge Medicines and previously was President & CEO of Veloxis Pharmaceuticals A/S and Helsinn Therapeutics (formerly Sapphire Therapeutics). Earlier in his career, he held senior drug development roles at Merck, Wyeth, and Theravance.

Dr. Polvino received his MD from Rutgers Medical School and a BS in Biology from Boston College, with clinical training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and a clinical pharmacology fellowship at the NIH.
